School Dismissal Information
Darien Public Schools uses Pikmykid school dismissal software at all elementary schools.
Pikmykid is a school safety and dismissal platform that uses real-time tools to help schools, teachers, and parents make dismissals safer and more efficient. The platform includes a parent app, school portal, and student dispatcher:
- Parent app: Allows parents to make dismissal changes, announce themselves in the car line, and receive notifications. Parents can also use the app to authorize others to pick up their child and receive alerts when their child has been picked up.
- School portal: Allows staff to manage student and parent information, and view real-time and historical reports on dismissal and safety activities.
- Student dispatcher: Allows staff to control real-time dismissals as parents arrive at school.
