The Darien Public Schools is looking for 6-8 parent volunteers with a willingness to research and learn what the 21st-century library/media
center in a school should look like (Pre K-12). This person should be able to meet 1-2 times per month, starting in November/December and running through May. Meetings will likely occur during the day to ensure student and teacher representation, although adjustments may be made. These people will also be asked to travel on local field trips to schools and possibly Google HQ as part of the work. Some flexibility in scheduling is necessary.
As a representative of the Council of Darien School Parents, this person will also be asked to keep their PTO Chairs and Principal up to date on the implications for their own school and will be asked to attend CDSP meetings to help inform the larger group (this can be shared among the group of volunteers).
If interested, please email cdspdarien@gmail.com by Friday, November 10th with your name, grade level of children and a brief statement of interest/professional experience.
