About The Holmes School Kids Care Club

The Holmes School Kids Care Club is an organization dedicated to helping the students of Holmes develop the spirit of charity and pro-active compassion through hands-on community projects. We work together to make a difference in our school, our community, and our world! The Holmes School Kids Care Club is open to all interested students K-5 and typically will meet four to five times per year for a philanthropic project. Our meetings will often take place on Friday mornings before school in the Common Room and will generally feature a guest speaker and a creative project.

Past Kids Care activities have included clothing drives, food collections and annual events such as the Thanksgiving Turkey Drive and “Soup”er Bowl in January. Some organizations that we partner with include Person-to-Person, The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, Inspirica, and At Home in Darien.

Please note Kids Care Club is a popular activity, so look for the sign up in H2H. This is an organization run by parent volunteers, so please feel free reach out to the committee and attend with your child, we always appreciate the extra hands!

*For the 2020/21 school year, the Kids Care Club will be organizing a few community service projects that the children can complete at home, and can participate in through virtual means. Let’s help our children remember the importance of charity and compassion during these unique times. More information will be distributed through H2H.
