Wall of Honor Bulletin Board Form – For Veterans Day, Holmes School creates a Bulletin Board called our “WALL OF HONOR” with pictures of Veterans from our Holmes School Community. If your child has a family member or family friend who has served our country, please fill out the poster format here: Grades K-2 Poster Format or Grades 3-5 Poster Format. Submit to the office by Friday, November 8th in order for it to be hung up by Veterans Day. Pictures will be returned.
Register Veterans to attend our Veteran’s Day Program. Registered Veterans will be individually acknowledged for their service during the Veterans Day Show. Any student K-5 may bring a Veteran to the 5th Grade Veterans Day Program. The K-5 student will attend the Program ( 9:30-10:10 on 11/11) and will be called up during the flag ceremony by name to individually honor their Veteran for their service. 5th Grade Writing Prompt Due November 4th At Holmes School we love getting to honor our veterans. 5th graders, please write a thoughtful paragraphs that demonstrates your gratitude and respect for Veterans in our community and across our country.
