The third graders at Holmes enjoyed a very special visit from Chris Evers and Animal Embassy last week. They learned all about important adaptations that help animals survive and thrive in the wild, such as suction cups on the bottoms of a frog’s feet for climbing and the quills that protect a hedgehog from getting eaten by predators. The kids got up close and personal with an owl, a lizard, and a turtle, among other exciting creatures.
