%3Cb%3ETwo-person%20committee%20splits%20the%20position%2C%20whereby%20one%20volunteer%20is%20responsible%20for%20accounts%20payable%2C%20and%20the%20other%20is%20responsible%20for%20accounts%20receivable.%20Ideally%20each%20treasurer%20will%20serve%20for%20a%20two-year%20term%2C%20with%20terms%20being%20staggered%20annually%20to%20provide%20continuity.%20All%20monies%20brought%20in%20or%20spent%20by%20the%20PTO%20are%20monitored%20by%20the%20treasurers.%3C%2Fb%3E

Responsible%20for%20producing%20a%20monthly%20budget%20report%20for%20publication.%20In%20addition%2C%20they%20work%20with%2C%20and%20are%20a%20member%20of%2C%20the%20Appropriations%20Committee%2C%20which%20sets%20up%20the%20budget%20for%20each%20new%20school%20year.

Attend%20all%20PTO%2C%20Executive%20Board%20and%20Appropriations%20meetings

Receive%20and%20pay%20out%20all%20funds%2C%20as%20provided%20for%20in%20the%20PTO%20budget%2C%20for%20financing%20PTO%20sponsored%20activities%20during%20the%20fiscal%20year%2C%20which%20runs%20from%20July%201%20through%20June%2030.

In%20January%2C%20prepare%20a%20yearly%20accounting%20of%20the%20prior%20school%20year%20for%20submission%20to%20the%20CDSP%20for%20tax%20purposes.

Time Commitment

Active throughout the school year. This position is on Executive Board and the Appropriations Committee and must attend both PTO meetings and Executive Board meetings. Time is needed to produce a monthly accounting and annual CDSP tax return as well as depositing checks from various events and fundraising activities and dispersing checks to various vendors, enrichment programs, etc.
