Holmes School will be launching a Makerspace in the library this May!! What is a Makerspace you ask?
The definition of a Makerspace is a place in which people with shared interests can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment, and knowledge. It is a gathering place for students to learn in a unique, hands on, engaging environment where learners take on higher order problem solving methods.
The four stations that we will be launching are Legos, Recycling Station, Break Apart Station, and Puppet Station. In the spirit of environmental awareness, we are creating this space with only donations of materials from our homes.
Please click the SignUpGenius here and consider donating materials you no longer use. Please do not purchase anything new! Robert will be collecting the donations at the front desk. Thank you for supporting this exciting new space at Holmes School!
