The Superintendent has proposed a budget for the 2019-20 school year, which includes adding an additional psychologist to each elementary school, and an additional guidance counselor to MMS. These hires would help to implement a robust social/emotional curriculum, and expand mental health services for all students. The budget also includes capital improvements, and continued rollout of the 1:1 technology initiative.
On Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 7pm the Board of Education will conduct a public hearing on this budget, which is a 2.98% increase from last year. The full budget can be found here. The purpose of this hearing is to allow the public an opportunity to provide feedback and/or voice support for the budget to the Board of Education.
