Board of Ed Public Hearing on Proposed 2019-20 School Budget: Tues. 1/29, 7pm

The Superintendent has proposed a budget for the 2019-20 school year, which includes adding an additional psychologist to each elementary school, and an additional guidance counselor to MMS. These hires would help to implement a robust social/emotional curriculum, and expand mental health services for all students. The budget also includes capital improvements, and continued rollout of the 1:1 technology initiative.

On Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 7pm the Board of Education will conduct a public hearing on this budget, which is a 2.98% increase from last year. The full budget can be found here. The purpose of this hearing is to allow the public an opportunity to provide feedback and/or voice support for the budget to the Board of Education. As parents, if you have anything you would like the Board to consider, please attend the hearing and make your opinions heard. If you have any questions, please contact PTO Chairs, Hope Barton (hope.barton@gmail.com) and Alex Hall (alexhall7@gmail.com).
